Thousands of different occupations,
One common calling…

We’re not only called to be an authentic, empowering community when we gather on Sundays as the church, but a potent force for good when we are scattered Monday through Saturday across the city.

Onelife is our collective attempt to continue to answer this call – to serve our city as best as we can – living and working with purpose, integrity and joy.

To this end, check out upcoming events (or past ones in our archive section), pertinent posts and podcasts, and our recommended online resources – all designed to ensure we leave this city in far better shape than how we found it.

The name Onelife is derived from an ancient principle revealed in Deuteronomy 6:4, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” In Jewish tradition, this is called the Shema – the first part of the oldest fixed daily prayer. At its essence, it is an awareness that God is not some kind of dis-integrated being but a wholly integrated one – unified in purpose and deed. Similarly, it is a call to reflect this same integration and integrity in our own lives. The all-too-common sacred/secular divides must fall away as we discover that everything we do is a reflection of who we are and what we truly believe. This is a faith that works, a faith worth taking to work – a working faith.
